Massage services that are covered by insurance
Insurance and Medical Massage Therapy Information: What you need to know
A standard massage therapy session covered by insurance is 60 minutes per visit. If you wish to extend your treatment time beyond this, you may do so at your own expense.
Your insurance will be billed using medical massage therapy codes/units that correspond to specific treatment durations.
We accept most major health insurance providers, including Motor Vehicle Accident insurance and Workers’ Compensation insurance.
Important Insurance Considerations:
It is your responsibility to verify whether your insurance plan includes benefits for medical massage therapy provided by a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).
Most insurance companies require a doctor’s referral for massage therapy coverage. If you do not have a primary care provider and need assistance obtaining a referral, please let us know—we’re happy to help.
If you have any questions about billing or insurance coverage for our services, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
A doctor referral for medical massage can be faxed to Advance PT office @ (208)-255-2423.
